Ron Mildren wants Bandiana Link Road duplicated, and William Page Drive built, to connect Bandiana Link with Chapple Street
Tuesday 9 September 2025
Ron Mildren today announced that if he is elected to Wodonga Council at the upcoming by-election, he will advocate for the duplication of Bandiana Link Road, and for William Page Drive to be built.
Bandiana Link Road is now a main arterial road for the East and South of Wodonga, with Mr Mildren saying the case for duplication is clear.
“Our community deserve to get to and from work sooner and safer”, Mr Mildren said.
“Unfortunately, there has been a series of accidents on Bandiana Link, and we have all experienced traffic banking up at each end”.
“Duplicating the road will not only increase its capacity, it will divide the traffic flows improving safety – making the Link a proper main arterial which its now become”.
Mr Mildren said he would also like to see William Page Drive built, a road which would connect Chapple Street (Opposite Parker Hannifin), to the roundabout in the middle of Bandiana Link.
“There has always been plans to build this road, and now’s the time to make it happen”.
“William Page Drive will take traffic pressure off the ANZAC Parade - Bandiana Link Road roundabout”.
“We need to build the infrastructure today that will support a new, greenfield hospital on Bandiana Link tomorrow”.
“We need to build the infrastructure that will support the $600 million Bandiana military development just down the road, and our growth corridors, across Killara and Bonegilla, and out to Tangambalanga on our arterial roads.
“I am the only candidate this election with a vision to build the infrastructure our community needs to support our rapid population growth, the $600 million Bandiana military development, and our local industry and employment expansion”, Mr Mildren said.
“My priorities reflect those of the Lake Hume Ward community, and I have the skills to deliver the results our community need right now”.
“When you vote 1 Ron Mildren in this election, you will get a councillor who is focused on delivering lower rates and better community infrastructure.
You’ll get an experienced leader and an independent voice, with the skills, common sense, and guts to get results even when the odds are against us.”
